(RIP) If you're a fan of the other comedies on this list you've got to check this one out. Only lasted a season but it didn't end on a cliffhanger and it's about as great as they come.

F/X's best series by far and one of the darkest, grittiest and smartest shows anywhere, HBO & Showtime included. A great look at how firefighters dealt with 9/11 long after the camera's stopped rolling and we stopped caring (where's your FDNY hat?).

For those that miss the old days of The Simpsons and might not have caught this one, it's a gem.

Up there with Brotherhood & Dexter as Showtime's best series, not enough can be said about Mary Louis Parker's performance and how funny this show can be. It's like a Desperate Housewives for the lower middle class. And better.
