This ointment is made from a homeopathic formula made from marigolds called calendula, which have been used for centuries to treat skin conditions. It is an excellent remedy for diaper rash. It doesn’t stain, but like most diaper ointments, it is quite sticky to Mom’s hands. But we need to wash them after diapering anyway.

It is essential for proper bowel health, and can be disrupted by antibiotics, too many sweets that feed the naturally occurring fungus, even dehydration. I try to get my boys to take some every day. I like this product because I can hide it in their food. It is sweet, so one of my children will even eat it with a spoon.

Nux vomica is an easy remedy for children with a minor stomach ache. It is a homeopathic remedy made from a poison nut, which if you ate it, would make you sick. When diluted to this infinitesimal amount, it stimulates the body to do the exact opposite of what the original material would have done. So instead of getting sick, you feel better.

This remedy was traditionally used for people who have difficulty facing their problems, but it also helps the restless child settle down and be still at home or school. It is for when they fidget in their seats, play with paper, tap their pencils, pace back and forth, and chew their nails to settle down. Or for a child that dislikes being by himself.
